Medical Receptionist

Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients and visitors, answer phone calls, and handle inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
- Appointment Scheduling: Schedule and confirm patient appointments, manage cancellations and rescheduling, and ensure the efficient flow of patient visits.
- Record Management: Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in line with data protection regulations
- Insurance and Billing: Verify patient insurance information, process payments, and assist with billing inquiries.
- Administrative Support: Assist with filing, emailing, and other administrative tasks as needed by the healthcare team.
- Communication: Liaise between patients, podiatrist and other healthcare professionals to facilitate effective communication and coordination of care.
- Compliance: Adhere to all healthcare regulations, to protect patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with medical standards.
- Office Maintenance: Ensure the reception area is tidy, organized, and welcoming, and manage office supplies.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Customer Service Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Organisational Skills: Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain an orderly work environment.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in managing records, scheduling, and processing patient information.
- Communication: Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting or as a receptionist is preferred but not always required.
